Position Overview
As the Head of Department, you will manage your own caseload and whilst playing a significant role in leading and shaping the department and its very capable team of fee earners and admin support.
Responsibilities
- Providing deputyship advice within litigation matters
- Developing and expanding Court of Protection and Trustee services for personal injury clients
- Mentoring and advising other team members
- Supporting deputies and directors in managing client finances
- Drafting and submitting applications to the Court of Protection
- Preparing financial information for client meetings
- Liaising with financial advisors, case managers, and care providers
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5+ PQE
- Extensive experience in Court of Protection work
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong business and client relationship management abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
