Ready to lead from the front in one of the most complex and high-profile areas of pensions?
We're looking for a senior pensions leader to take ownership of a large, high-performing team (40+ specialists) delivering end-to-end GMP solutions for UK DB schemes. This is a pivotal role where people leadership and technical credibility go hand in hand.
You'll be driving delivery across GMP reconciliation, equalisation and rectification projects-ensuring quality, innovation, and exceptional client outcomes at every stage.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading, inspiring, and developing a sizeable team of pensions and actuarial professionals
* Overseeing multiple complex client projects, ensuring delivery to the highest standards
* Acting as a trusted advisor to clients on technical and legislative pension matters
* Driving innovation and continuous improvement across GMP-related services
* Playing a key role in business growth, including client engagement and supporting new opportunities
* Owning budgets, forecasting, and strategic planning for your function
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience managing large teams (40+) of technical pensions professionals
* Strong, hands-on GMP expertise (reconciliation, equalisation, rectification)
* A confident leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels
* Commercial awareness with experience of budgeting and forecasting
* Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to influence at Trustee/Board level
