A leading pensions administration organisation to recruit a newly created Technical & Professional Standards Manager within their growing Technical & Quality Assurance function.


This role would suit an experienced Technical Manager, Governance Specialist, Technical Consultant, or Professional Standards Manager looking to make a significant impact within a growing function.


This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to shape and drive professional standards, governance, and quality across a national pensions administration business.


What you'll be doing:


* Acting as the technical lead for complex Defined Benefit (DB) pension administration queries
* Interpreting pensions legislation, regulatory developments, and scheme rules, translating them into practical operational guidance
* Developing and enhancing processes, controls, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence
* Producing trustee and client communications relating to legislative and regulatory changes
* Conducting root cause analysis on complaints, errors, and operational issues
* Identifying trends across administration teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Producing management information, insights, and recommendations for senior leadership and operational boards
* Working closely with Quality Assurance and Best Practice teams to raise standards across the organisation

What we're looking for:


✔ Strong Defined Benefit pensions administration experience
✔ Previous experience within a Third-Party Administration (TPA) environment
✔ Excellent technical knowledge of pensions legislation and regulation
✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
✔ Experience implementing regulatory and legislative change
✔ Ability to influence senior stakeholders and present recommendations at leadership level
✔ A hands-on approach with a passion for improving quality and professional standards
