Working for a very successful smaller independent legal practice, you will manage a caseload of Legal Aid family matters. The work fomes from referrals due to the firm's superb reputation, and you will support clients who are facing financial hardship and require support on a variety of family matters to include divorce, DV, mediation, injunctions and abduction work.
Key skills will be the ability to support clients through sensitive and difficult family circumstances. This is a role requiring an assertive solicitor or legal executive, keen to help clients and provide clear legal advice.
The role offers some home working flexibility, with tech provided for home working and there is a very good CMS enabling you to run your files, manage your diary and collate both letters and billings. Advocacy is not essential but would be advantageous, as you will be instructing counsel, but the senior fee earners will provide support, and career development is also on offer.
