A well-regarded and fast-growing regional law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal to join its established Residential Property team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious conveyancing professional with strong New Build experience to join a supportive, modern firm known for its outstanding client service, collaborative culture, and long-term career development opportunities.
Working closely with experienced fee earners, you will play a key role in supporting a busy residential conveyancing team, ensuring transactions progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a professional first point of contact for clients, developers, brokers, and third parties
- Managing client onboarding procedures, including ID verification and proof of funds checks
- Supporting the progression of new build transactions through the early stages
- Assisting with file opening and providing cover for junior team members when required
- Preparing completion statements
- Handling LISA and Help to Buy ISA withdrawals
- Managing NHBC warranty portal administration
- Ordering and reviewing searches including Local Authority and Chancel searches
- Preparing SDLT and Land Registry forms
- Providing wider administrative and operational support to the Residential Property team
A minimum of 2 years' experience within residential conveyancing is required, ideally with exposure to new build matters.
