The role offers full exposure to the full spectrum of criminal work, representing clients at Police Stations and Magistrates' Courts, while also progressing Crown Court matters. Responsibilities will include managing an active caseload, preparing case papers, taking statements, drafting legal documents and working closely with clients, Counsel and other professionals.
The role involves regular travel throughout Essex, making it particularly suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on position and wants to build their advocacy and case management experience across a diverse range of matters.
Police Station accreditation is required, with Duty accreditation desirable. The successful candidate will be confident dealing with challenging situations, able to prioritise effectively and maintain a calm and professional approach in a demanding environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are equally important.
