This is a Managerial opportunity in a small private practice who are looking for a Residential Property Solicitor, Lawyer or Licenced Conveyancer to lead an established team and also take responsibility for own files and fee earning.
This private practice has good local connections with introducers and genuine expansion plans. You will take ownership of this Head of Department to focus on growth both for the team and financially. We are seeking someone who is ambitious, and keen to develop and implement better processes and good quality services and compliance to clients.
There is a team of 7 fee earners and support staff, and you will be fundamental in directing he team, working with all the staff on a one-to-one basis to support improvements and fee earning potential. Part of the role will incorporate your own fee earning and caseload and you will have a flair for client management and developing a good network through a variety of introducers, considering client referrals and testimonial reviews. There is the budget and scope to upgrade the IT system to move the team to a paperless working environment.
To be considered you will demonstrate experience in a similar position or have clear ambition to progress your career to a Head of Dept role and develop within your career. With at least 6 years as a fee earner you will mentor your peers and provide guidance and technical support across compliance matters and workflow.
