We are working with a growing and forward-thinking private practice looking to appoint an experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its established commercial department
This is a particularly attractive opportunity for a senior litigator who wants high-quality, interesting commercial disputes combined with the flexibility and quality of life offered by a strong regional practice.
The firm has developed an excellent commercial offering and, importantly, has a strong flow of quality work generated through its wider commercial department. You'll be joining a supportive and well-established team where commercial litigation is an important part of the overall practice.
The work
You'll advise businesses, shareholders, directors and individuals across a varied commercial disputes caseload. Matters are likely to include:
- Shareholder and partnership disputes, including disagreements between business owners and issues surrounding the management or ownership of companies
- Contractual disputes, including breach of contract, interpretation of commercial agreements and claims arising from failed business relationships
- Commercial property disputes, including landlord and tenant matters, lease disputes and other property-related commercial claims
- Debt recovery and contested debt claims, including higher-value and more complex recovery matters
- General business and commercial disputes, providing strategic advice from the early stages of a dispute through to negotiated settlement or litigation
The breadth of the work makes this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being a commercial litigator rather than operating within a particularly narrow specialism.
The opportunity
The firm is looking for someone capable of taking ownership of their caseload and providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice to clients. There is also scope to play an important role within the department and contribute to its continued development.
This could suit an experienced Senior Associate-level solicitor looking for a strong regional platform, or an established commercial litigator who wants quality work combined with a more flexible and balanced working environment.
Package & benefits
The firm is offering a salary of up to £80,000, depending on experience, alongside an attractive benefits package, including:
- 25 days' annual leave
- Death in service benefit
- Critical illness cover
- Parking
- Flexible working
This is a strong opportunity for a senior commercial litigator looking for excellent quality work, autonomy and a genuinely attractive alternative to a larger commercial practice.
