We are looking for a Senior Conveyancing Solicitor who enjoys the hands-on aspect of residential property work, but is equally motivated by mentoring others, improving systems, and helping shape the future of a modern conveyancing department.
You'll manage a varied caseload spanning straightforward freehold matters through to complex leasehold, new build and technically challenging transactions. Alongside this, you'll act as a trusted senior figure within the team, supporting decision-making on complex title issues, guiding colleagues through risk considerations and setting the standard for quality and consistency.
What makes this role stand out is the structure around you. You won't be weighed down by administrative tasks or process-heavy work. Instead, you'll receive full administrative support, as well as dedicated central teams handling quotes, onboarding and post-completion. This will allow you to focus on what matters - delivering excellent work, supervising and developing junior lawyers and contributing strategically to the department.
Working closely with the team, you'll have a genuine voice in how the conveyancing function evolves. From refining workflows and improving processes, to embracing legal technology and automation, your input will directly influence how the team grows and operates. This is a role for someone who enjoys not just doing the job - but improving it.
You should have strong residential conveyancing experience, confident across both standard and complex matters. You'll be comfortable supervising junior colleagues, approachable in your leadership style and commercially aware. An interest in innovation and modern legal practice will be key, as will a collaborative and solutions-focused mindset.
In return, you'll join a firm that is actively investing in its people and you'll benefit from a friendly and professional working environment, and the rare chance to help shape a department in a meaningful and lasting way.
If you're ready for a role where your ideas and leadership genuinely matter, get in touch with James Wiffen on 01279 464455 or send your CV to james@bwflegal.co.uk.
